O’Brien Charitable Trust Donations 2022

New Beginnings Baby Charity – £1,500

 ‘Newborn Bundles’ for the most vulnerable mothers in our communities, consisting of a Moses Basket filled with toiletries and clothing for the first six weeks or so of a new baby’s life, gifted to families in need.

Cubbington & District Old Age Pensioners Association – £1,000

 The Association is a charity run by volunteers which aims to provide a sociable, interactive community for people aged over 60.

B30 Foodbank, Birmingham (Trussell Trust) – £1,000

Providing three days’ emergency food and support to local people by referral.

West Heath Community Centre – £1,000

A registered charity that promotes community activity in the West Heath area of South Birmingham.

Water Orton Library – £1,000

 Volunteer run library and community centre with charitable status ever since it was due to be closed back in 2011.

Old Salts RFC – £1,000

 £1,000  donation towards a programme of rugby coaching, delivering sessions in the schools in school time.

NG11 Foodbank, Nottingham (Trussell Trust) – £2,000

 Providing three days’ emergency food and support to local people by referral.

Let’s Feed Brum – £1,500

 Provides essential supplies and friendship to those living on our streets, and signposts the services already helping tackle the city’s homelessness issue.

Acorns Children’s Hospice – £2,500

Dedicated teams provide specialist palliative care for life limited and life threatened babies, children and young people and support for their families.

Warwickshire and Northampton Air Ambulance – £10,000

Providing the best possible pre-hospital care and rapid transport to specialist hospitals.

 Freddie’s Wish – £2,500

The preservation and protection of good health among parents experiencing child bereavement.

 

Molly Olly’s – £2,500

Supports children with terminal or life threatening illnesses and their families to help with their emotional wellbeing.

 The Friendship Trust – £2,500

The Friendship Project is a Warwickshire-wide charity that matches children and young people (who are in need, for a variety of reasons) with volunteers, for friendship and fun.

 Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice – £2,500

Children’s charity providing palliative respite and end of life care to babies and infants aged from birth to 5 years, suffering from life limiting or life threatening conditions.

 LWS Night Shelter – £2,500

 Providing a hot meal, a safe place to sleep and company for the homeless and vulnerably-housed members of the community in Leamington Spa.

Helping Hands Community Project – £2,000

The charity gives people the support and opportunities to feel better about themselves, be more active in the community and get back into work, as well as running a soup kitchen, offering hot food and a listening ear.

Magic Maker – £1,500 Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Birmingham Women’s Hospital

The donation is to support their Magic Makers campaign, to turn their hospital into a wonderful winter wonderland which offers a welcome distraction for young patients and their families. If you could word something around that and use the image if possible as there is no logo.
