THANK YOU!
A huge thank you to our suppliers, sponsors, those who purchased tickets and packages for the event, those who donated auction prizes and those who bid so generously. To all those who purchased our Gold Bar Raffle Tickets. Without all of you our event would not have been the success it was!
Our 2019 Charity Ball was an outstanding success, with over 150 guests in attendance.
Our Itinerary for the Evening was:
Drinks Reception
Guests arrived at the Yew Edge Gate before being led across to the Castle and were greeted with a drinks reception and a chance to mingle and have a chat before being invited to take their seats in the fabulous surroundings of the stunning Great Hall.
Bums and Heads
Much fun and laughter took place during the hilarious Bums and Heads game elimination game (heads and tails using your body), where Mark Grimes the winner won £100 and a bottle of champagne.
Feuding Knights Battle it Out During a Slap up Meal
Whilst our guests enjoyed a slap up three course meal and drinks, they were entertained by the Castle’s feuding Knights battling it out, which was absolutely fabulous and exciting to watch!
Silent Auction
We had donations of some fabulous auction items at this year’s ball to bid on, raising over £2,000 which included:
Dancing the Night Away
After dinner it was time to dance the night away with our fabulous live ban ‘Floral Moustache’!
O’Brien Charitable Trust – Staff Run Charity
Here at O’Brien’s the staff work so hard to raise money throughout the year, organising events to raise money for charity and participating and helping to raise money, so that we can reach that magic £15,000 by 31 December (the O’Brien Directors match that £15,000 if we hit our target) giving us much needed money for the charities that we support.
Gold Bar Raffle Ticket Draw
This year we had a fabulous Gold Bar Raffle, with a certified gold bar in a presentation box worth over £1,200. The winner of this fabulous prize was Jackie Leedham.
