In the last 4 years we have donated £120,000 to charity organisations such as: Child Bereavement, Terminally Ill Children, Air Ambulance, Homeless Charities, Youth Charities.

At O’Brien, the staff are passionate about the smaller charities that tend to be overlooked but are so important.  They do outstanding work and really need our help more than ever at the moment due to the COVID crisis.  Your donation will help us reach our £15,000 target by the end of December 2021, if we can reach our target, the directors will match us pound for pound, which means we will have £30,000 to distribute to worthy causes.

• Freddie’s Wish – £2,500
• The Pam Brittan Trust for Dementia – £2,000

The challenge this year has being significant to say the least, with our normal fundraising events realistically lost through Coronavirus.

Events with any social interface have not been possible at all and peoples concentrations have being focused elsewhere on maybe more immediate personal issues of self-preservation for themselves and those close to them which given the surreal times is totally understandable.

It was late June when the world began to realise life had to carry on, but in a different manner. At this point the charity committee picked the reins up and took a determined stance to hit our target of £15,000.00.

It had become abundantly clear that whilst all of us were affected personally, charities were affected to a greater degree with most avenues of support being closed down completely whilst at the same time the need for support from charities increased dramatically as the plight of a lot of people worsened.
