O’Brien Charitable Trust Golf Day Goes off to a Tee!

Our O’Brien Charitable Trust Golf Day 2022 was an outstanding success, with 70 golfers  / suppliers supporting the event!

Starting off with tea, coffee and a delicious bacon bap, check in and a natter in the Leamington Spa Suite, it was time to head out onto the course for a golf appetiser and a bit of fun.

Heading out to the putting green we commenced with our fun pre-start competition.  A putting competition with a difference!  Get the ball nearest the hole using and oval shaped golf ball with one shot (could have been worse, we were originally going to use giant marshmallows), I still don’t know where those 70 marshmallows have gone (Wayne)!  It was a great laugh and someone actually got the ball in the hole and won a great prize.

It was now time for everyone to grab their buggies and head off for an 18 hole round of golf on the ‘King’s Course’ at The Warwickshire Golf Club with refreshment stations around the course to quench their thirst and snacks to keep their energy up for the 5 hours on the course.

Our golfers headed back to the Leamington Spa Suite, to relax on the outside patio for some much need liquid refreshments, followed by a delicious sit down meal of sumptuous steak dinner and a heavenly treacle and ginger sponge with ice cream.  This was followed by prize presentations for winning teams and individual prizes for our other competitions, Nearest the Pin, Straightest Drive, Longest Drive and Charity Bunker!

As in previous years the event was sponsored by our wonderful suppliers  who do us proud every year and we couldn’t do it without their support, so a massive thank you to everyone who sponsored the event, donated prizes and just for being such a great, friendly group of people who make it such a fun and wonderful event. Thanks again to The Warwickshire for hosting us so brilliantly and also sponsored us with a prize.
